Party On and On and On | ||||||||||||||||||||

Well what can I say, if you were there then why are you even reading this and if you weren't then you missed a good bash! Shame on you! So what made it so good? The organisation, the location, the food, the company? Well who really knows all I can say is I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks Sharon (and Andy). So who wins what awards? - The "Belle" of the Ball Sorry Belle didn't make it, but the contest for the Bell of the Ball was closely fought. Sharon being the hostess wins of course, but it was a hard fought contest as one individual came very close to upstaging her - surly not, I hear you cry (well go on then - that's better)! Yep a miniature Sharon in the making - Ashlea, with all the charm (and vigour you'd expect from someone of her years, tinged with a cute (and very cheeky) grin. This Six year old is certainly a sparkle in her own right and definitely a lady in the making - I know, when asked to dance (to a slow one at the end of the night) the reply came - What? With YOU! So what of Sharon then? Well despite earlier nerves about the number of people cancelling, she floated elegantly from guest to guest like a feather effortlessly being ushered delicately along by a gentle breeze. She was radiant & exquisite and when dancing with Andy, there wasn't a better looking or, more deserving couple in the entire room! So who wins the Best Dancer Award? Well, without a doubt this award has to be given to Andy's dad, did he ever leave the dance floor? Once I think and that was just to collect a new partner - Jeramy eat your heart out; a beauty plucked right from you side. Some say she was rescued, but I never asked Tula for her stance on this one! And the Best Entertainer Award? Well this one is a difficult one to answer there were so many good moments: - Sharon's speech, the family members, the DJ etc. No, I feel this one goes to all those children (especially Rachael) that zoomed around whilst the guest arrived and then miraculously disappeared as if on auto-queue - Some were reportedly found sleeping amongst the table and chairs whilst others persuaded there parent to strategically withdraw them at the appropriate time. Kids these days they just get cleverer and cleverer! Friendliest Person in the Room Award? Despite racking my brain cells - yep both of them, I failed to come up with a winner for this one. I could have chosen Sharon's warm and welcoming mother, or her bashful but entertaining father. Then there was Andy's dad, my drinking partner, and I cannot possibly miss Andy's mum, who did the twist with me! The problem with a category like this is it is very subjective, I had a long and interesting conversation with Sharon's aunt, but who's to say who the friendliest person was, no doubt Andy would say Sharon, & Jeremy would say Tula. So in the end I cannot award this to any individual if you were there, if you opened you mouth (to speak not drink) then I figure you get this award and for those of you who CHOSE not to attend, then this award is definitely not for you! Funniest Expression Award. Well I think everyone would agree that this goes to Aaron at the moment his surprise birthday cake was presented to him. Happy Birthday mate I hope you have a good one! So who get the Most Annoying Award for the evening? Well that one has to go to me. There are so many shots of the back of my hand it's untrue. But credit where credit is due Andy did snap me in the end - I just hope the film jammed! So what about out of party antics? Well this is of course speculative, but I heard that Jeremy had two people in his room until 4am. It is also rumoured that he managed to fall off the bed, which was allegedly being shared by a pretty female. And somewhere along the lines he fell asleep! Well what else is there to say, it was a party to be party too! Shame if you couldn't make it, and shame on you if you chose not to make it |
