After our last artical on the ExploreZip Virus,
it has been proven that the virus is more
virulent and destructive than initially believed.

It was initially thought that the virus, which
arrives as an e-mail attachment called
Zipped_files.exe,
propogated itself only by replying to e-mails sent
to infected machines.
However, it later emerged that once the virus has
infected a network attached machine, it can infect
other machines on the network and attack their
files without user interaction.

Expert say this virus capitalised on the strengths
of the global Melissa infection - an indication
that a new, even more powerful variant may be on
its way!
